2015: The Year of Ironman
With one season under our (race)belt, in true “go big, or go home” fashion, we’ve decided to sign up for Ironman Mont Tremblant, taking place in Quebec on August 16, 2015. This past season, when family and friends asked if we would ever do an Ironman-distance race, I said, “I have absolutely no desire to. I would never do an Ironman.” By now, I should know that “never” should be eliminated from my vocabulary, as I’ve been eating almost every…last…word. We’re always up for a good challenge, and Ironman seems to fit-the-bill. We’re both headstrong, so I don’t think it will mentally be quite as challenging for us as it will be a test of our physical limits. This also seems like the appropriate time in our lives to do one: not married, no kids, no commitments – other than to each other (and Benoit). So…game on.
